Understanding Credit Card Authorizations and Charges at PACT, Inc.

At PACT, Inc., we want to ensure transparency about how we handle credit card payments so you can shop with confidence. Here’s how our process works:

Authorization at Order Placement:

When you place an order, we authorize your credit card for the total amount. This is a temporary hold to confirm that the funds are available—it’s not an actual charge. You might see this authorization appear on your account, which can sometimes lead to confusion about being charged immediately. Rest assured, no funds are withdrawn from your account at this stage.

Funds Captured at Shipment:

We do not capture (or collect) the funds from your credit card until your order is shipped and completed. Once your order leaves our facility, the authorized amount is finalized as a charge, and that’s when the payment is officially processed. This means you won’t be charged until you’re on your way to receiving your gear.

Why You Won’t Be Double Charged:

Some customers worry about seeing both an authorization and a charge, fearing they’ve been double charged. This isn’t the case—the authorization simply reserves the funds, and when we capture them at shipment, it converts to the single, final charge. If the authorization hold lingers on your statement after shipping, it will typically drop off within a few days, depending on your bank’s policies.

If you have any questions about this process or notice something unexpected on your statement, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help clarify and ensure your experience with PACT, Inc. is smooth from start to finish!
